The condos were also in a higher-risk area, which added another hurdle.

Supporting a $140K Duplex Purchase

Another borrower in Albany, NY, came to us seeking financing for a duplex purchase. The loan amount they were seeking was $140,000, which was just below the $150,000 minimum that many lenders require. For others, the size of the loan would have been reason enough to decline the request.  

Barrington Commercial saw the deal as an opportunity to help a borrower grow. We found him a lender willing to fund the purchase and begin building a new partnership.
